Rick Flores comes to Illinois Youth Soccer after serving as the Associate Technical Director of Utah Youth Soccer. Prior to coming to Utah, Rick who is originally from Fresno, California was a Club Director of Coaching for 11 years with La Jolla Youth Soccer Club and Mesa Soccer Association. Rick is a retired Marine. During his active duty, Rick played on various Marine Corps teams around the world. Among his many coaching credentials are Marine Corps Head Coach, All Marine Armed Forces Coach, Head Coach for the University City High School Boys Team and youth teams in Southern California. He is a US Youth Soccer National Staff Coach and co-author of the TOPSoccer Coaching Course manual for children with disabilities. As the Utah Youth Soccer Associate Technical Director, Rick was responsible for the association’s Coaching Education Program, Grassroots Program, TOPSoccer Program, Latino Coaches Association, and assisted in ODP. Rick holds the USSF “A” License, USSF National Youth License, USSF Goalkeeper License and NSCAA Premier Diploma.
