North Central Group Named Official Hotels of 2012 State Cup

Changes to the 2012 US Youth Soccer National Championship Series (NCS) & 2012 Illinois State Cup
1.) Club Passes are allowed
Club Passes: US Youth Soccer / IYSA passes issued to a youth player by an IYSA league in compliance with the rules of the IYSA of which the club is a member as provided by this policy and specifies the club of which the youth player is a registered member.

2.) Roster limit is 22 for U14-U19. Roster must be submitted to the appropriate championship committee before the deadline specified by the championship committee at that level

3.) Unlimited transfers from within the club are allowed before the deadline specified by the championship committee at that level.

4.) Five (5) interclub transfers are allowed before the deadline specified by the Illinois State Cup championship committee. No interclub transfers are allowed at the Regional & National level.

5.) Team must maintain a minimum of 9 players between the league, Illinois State Cup, US Youth Soccer Midwest Regional Championship and US Youth Soccer National Championships.

6.) A team may only compete in the NCS as a member of one club in any soccer year.

7. If a team advances to the Regional and National, players with a club pass, including players on a team NOT advancing to the Regional or Nationals, are eligible for other teams within the club advancing to the next level of competition up to a roster limit of 22 players.


The Illinois State Cup is the most prestigious tournament in Illinois and the official state championship tournament of the US Youth Soccer National Championship Series and has been hosted by Illinois Youth Soccer for over 35 years. 

The State Cup competition is held in the U12 - U19 age divisions with winnersState Cup trophy hoist in U13 - U19 advancing onto the US Youth Soccer Midwest Regional Championships. Regional Champions in the U14 - U19 divisions then compete in the US Youth Soccer National Championships.

The Illinois State Cup is open to all Illinois Youth Soccer affiliated teams that meet the following requirements:

1.) Team, players and coaches must be currently registered with the Illinois Youth Soccer Association.
2.) Your team and all of its players and coaches must be currently registered with an affiliated IYSA league.
3.) Your team must participate in an IYSA only division of an affiliated IYSA league during the current soccer year.
4.) Your league competition must consist of one (1) game against no less than three (3) different IYSA teams participating in the IYSA division
5.) At least 50 percent of team's players must be registered and domiciled in Illinois
6.) Your team must have US Youth Soccer player and coach passes
