If your team is listed on the top portion of a State Cup bracket, you are the Home Team and if the game is listed as a Home Team Host game, it is your responsibility to host the game.
As the Hosting Team you are responsible for:
- Contacting the opposing team to discuss and come to a mutually agreed upon date, time and location for the State Cup game for which you are hosting. The State Cup schedule give you a date that the game must be completed by. Do not wait till the last minute to schedule a game. If a game is not played by the assigned "play by" date both teams could end up forfeiting the game.
- Once you & your opponent have agreed upon a date, time & location the hosting team must contact their local referee assignor to have officials assigned to the game. Any assignor fee associated with a HTH game will be the responsibility of the hosting team.
- The Hosting Team must send an email to the IYSA at statecup@illinoisyouthsoccer.org with the date, time & location of the game
Prior To Any State Cup Game
BOTH Teams must obtain and print their completed game card from www.gotsoccer.com To access the website, use the User Login Name & Password you used to enroll in the State Cup Tournament. Then print the game card to your State Cup game.
Game Day
Each team will responsible for paying the referee fee of $75 per team, per game and this must be paid to the center referee in cash before the start of the game. In addition each team must also provide the center referee their State Cup game card before the start of the game.
After The Game
When the game is completed, the winning team will be responsible for obtaining the game cards from the referee and then return BOTH teams game cards to the IYSA office. DO NOT LEAVE THEM WITH THE REFEREE; unless there has been a red card issue, in that case the referee will mail game card to IYSA. Game cards should be scanned and emailed to statecup@illinoisyouthsoccer.org , faxed to 847-290-1576 or mail or dropped off at the IYSA Office, 1655 S. Arlington Heights Rd. Suite 201, Arlington Heights 60005.
NO game results will be posted unil the game cards are received by the IYSA.
The winning team is responsible for the advance round fee after winning each game. This $30 fee must be paid before your next State Cup game is played. Please contact Fran at statecup@illinoisyouthsoccer.org to make arrangements for payment. Advance fee check may be attached to the game card when mailing the original game card to IYSA. Checks should be made payable to: IYSA-State Cup.
REMINDER
Your State Cup roster, League roster & Game Card must match player for player. If you have a player that for any reason that cannot be at the first game or any game, you do not need to list them on the Game Card for the day but the player must be listed on both the State Cup & League Roster to be eligble to play in future games. Upon playing your first game, your team's roster is frozen and you will no longer be able to add any players.
