Elizabeth Bream’s goal in the 27th minute provided the only scoring in GLSA Libertyville Premier’s 1-0 win over Kansas Rush Nike Grey 94/95 in the US Youth Soccer Midwest Presidents Cup Under-17 Girls Final. The win earned GLSA a spot to play for a National title in the US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup, July 12-15 in Sacramento, CA.
The win avenged a previous 4-0 loss to the Rush in group crossover play, GLSA was in Group A and Kansas in Group B. That defeat was GLSA’s only loss in the tournament and they only allowed an opponent to score in that match.
"The girls showed ALOT of heart," said Josh Paskiewicz. "They are really, really excited about going to Sacramento for the Finals. Most of the team has been together since U9 so it is great for all of them to earn this together."
