Who Is Eligible: Each team MUST BE registered with an IYSA Member Competitive League: Central Illinois Youth Soccer League (CIYSL),Chicagoland Youth Soccer League, Illinois Women’s Soccer League(IWSL), ILLOWA, Southern Illinois Soccer League (SISL), Young Sportsmen’s Soccer League(YSSL) for the upcoming season and show proof thereof before submitting its application to the SPD.
Registration: Each Team that wants to play in the SPD must advise the IYSA Member League at the time registering with the League, that it is applying to participate in the SPD. After registering with an IYSA Member League, the team must complete and submit the State Premiership Division Application and a resume establishing that it is a top team in the State of Illinois and qualified to participate in the SPD. Teams are accepted to the Premiership based on the information provided in the resume.
If a Team is not accepted to participate in the SPD, the Team must play in the IYSA Member League with which it registered prior to applying to the State Premiership Division. Since a team that is not selected to the SPD will resume play in the IYSA Member League, no refunds will be issued.
Registration Fee: Each team will pay their normal registration fee directly to their IYSA Member League. Once teams are selected to the Premiership Division, the IYSA Member League will make adjustments for any overpayments. The SPD Team Registration fee is identical for all IYSA Member Leagues. This fee includes IYSA registration/insurance, referee assignor cost, and administrative expenses.
Fee is based on a twenty-two (22) player initial roster size. For each player over 22, the SPD Team will pay $50 to the IYSA Member League.
Referee Fees: Each SPD Team will pay $75 per game to the center referee prior to the start of each SPD game. IYSA State Premiership Division Referee Assignor will assign the center and assistant referees for each SPD game.
Referees used in the State Premiership Division are the same top officials used in State Cup.
Schedule: SPD Season will consist of Seven (7) games. IYSA assigns match-up and who is designated as home team for each match. Teams then self schedule at date and time at least Seventy-Two (72) hours prior to the game. Games will be played at the hosting Team’s fields to reduce the cost for all teams. There will be no charge for fields unless IYSA is asked to schedule games at a location that charges a rental fee. That rental fee will be charged to the teams and the teams would split the cost of the field rental.
SPD games are considered league games and shall meet all of the requirements of IYSA Member League play. Teams will follow all rules, policies and procedures established by IYSA concerning playing rules. Playing rules will be equivalent to State Cup Playing Rules. Teams will follow their respective IYSA Member League rules, policies and procedures for all other matters.
Roster: The State Premiership Division will use the club passes system.
Unlimited transfers from within the club are allowed. Before a transferred player may participate in any SPD game, the SPD team must submit to Illinois Youth Soccer a copy of the transferred player’s Illinois Youth Soccer Member League team roster.
Game roster limit is 18 player
