Illinois Youth Soccer Member Rec Program 5-Star Award Recipients

The 2012/13 US Youth Soccer Region II 5-Star award was presented to Barrington Area Soccer Association (BASA), Illinois Youth Soccer’s first recreational member league and one of the largest recreational soccer leagues in Illinois. For over a year, BASA’s Director of Recreational Soccer Emily Snyder worked diligently to meet the recognition requirements. BASA has a history of leadership and striving for excellence. By investing in their outstanding administrative and coaching staff, their Board has continuously supported player, coaching, referee and parent education.

The 2011/12 US Youth Soccer Region II 5-Star award was presented to Reed-Custer Soccer Club. Through the commitment of Kevin Cathelyn, the president of Reed-Custer SC, to improve coaching and referee education and his emphasis on risk management training, Reed-Custer was the first league in Illinois to receive the US Youth Soccer 5-Star regional recognition.
