Rick traveled to the Urban Symposium in Washington D.C and learned about a better urban perspective with more collaboration for coaches and players.

Jen attended the Illinois Cup in Naperville over the weekend to watch the future Illinois soccer stars competing in games.  She also attended the upsetting game of the Chicago Fire with a loss against Real Salt Lake.

This week both of the Directors held a Quarterly Director of Coaches meeting with over 30 coaches to discuss club concerns, a leadership presentation by Rick, presentation by Arnim Whisler the owner of the Chicago Red Stars, and Carlos with FootGolf.  Rick will hold another meeting in Bloomington and in O’Fallen for the other Directors of Coaching in our state this upcoming week.

This weekend is the Board of Directors meeting so Rick will be in attendance to voice the concerns and questions from the Coaches side of soccer.  Jen will have the weekend off to be part of the volunteer staff at the Crossfit Games North Central Regional event at Navy Pier.

We have another Coaches Workshop for Lesson plans on Monday, May 12 from 6-8pm at IYSA office.  We will have another Field Session Workshop on Tuesday, May 20 from 5-7pm at Prairie Park.  Everyone is welcomed to attend.
