Illinois Youth Soccer is an official State Association and charter member of the US Soccer Federation and US Youth Soccer. Illinois Youth Soccer is the administrative body authorized to carry out the Federation's and US Youth Soccer's programs to amateur youth players in Illinois. Programs include: Olympic Development Program (ODP), Illinois State Cup/US Youth Soccer National Championship Series, Illinois Cup, Copa Chicago, Chicago International Invitational, Chicago Beach Soccer Tournament, Inner City Programs, Soccer Expo, Network News, Coaching Education and Referee Education. Illinois Youth Soccer is Illinois’ largest youth sport organization with over 90,000 players.

Theses teams will now advance onto the US Youth Soccer National Championship tournament July 21-26 in Lancaster, MA.

N0 Place Safe Outside During Lightning & Thunde Keep in mind that Lightning is the #2 storm killer in the U.S., killing more than hurricanes or tornadoes on average. Don't hesitate, seek shelter immediately. The lightning casualty stories are replete with events where people were about to make it to shelter when they were struck. If they'd just started a minute earlier, they'd have been safe. Please review the attached lightning information from the National Safety Council and US Soccer

We recently received a call from a parent that a League did not cancel its soccer games although lightning was present in the area.
Actions from April 18 IYSA Board Of Directors Meeting
- Effective for the 2009/10 soccer year, the competitive league payment form will reflect a maximum roster size starting at ten (10) players and increasing in increments of two.
- The Board moved to keep the competitive and recreational fees the same for the 2009/10 soccer year notwithstanding the potential for deficit.
- Board moved that if a team fails to qualify for the 2009 Illinois State Cup, the team must apply for an exemption to the IYSA.
- The Board moved to hold a special meeting at 9am on September 19, 2009 to change the date of the 2010 AGM.
- The Board moved to approve the IYSA Technical Committee candidates as presented.
- The Board moved to approve the Euro Soccer Club as an IYSA affiliated recreational league.
