DESCRIPTION:Click Here To Apply  \nCOURSE DETAILS:  \nThe U.S. Soccer D License hosted by Illinois Youth Soccer is an online and in-person course. This blended format combines an online experience\, assignments\, small group meetings\, independent learning\, and in-person meeting. \nIN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED PLEASE COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING:\nJOIN THE WAITLIST\nFILL OUT THE GOOGLE FORM \nIF BOTH REQUIREMENTS ARE MET YOU WILL RECEIVE AN INVITATION FOR THE COURSE. \nGOOGLE FORM \nELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:  \nTo register for the U.S. Soccer D course\, all prospective student coaches must meet the following prerequisites: \n\nAt least 18 years of age\nCurrently coaching or have access to a team U6-U12\n\n\nHave completed Introduction to Grassroots Coaching\nHave completed Two (2) GR IP courses and one (1) GR OL course\n\nor \n\nHave completed Introduction to Grassroots Coaching\nPreviously Earned USSF E License\n\nor \n\nHave completed Introduction to Grassroots Coaching\nPreviously Earned USSF F License\nTwo (2) Additional Grassroots In-Person (4v4\, 7v7\, or 9v9)\n\n All student coaches that register for this course are expected to attend all course meetings and complete all assignments in order to be eligible for the final assessment.\nCOURSE EXPERIENCE: \n48+ hours (virtual + in-person meetings) \nStudents who register for this course can expect weekly learning opportunities that will feature a mixture of independent learning using online modules\, live virtual meetings\, and in-person meetings led by a licensed U.S. Soccer Educator. Students should have access to the internet and a laptop/device with web camera/live video capabilities. The virtual meetings will take place on agreed-upon days and times (see below). Students may be asked to participate in the in-person field component as either coaches or players\, so please come prepared to actively learn. \nCOURSE DURATION: \nNine weeks (Including summative assessment) with two (2) in-person weekends \n\nVirtual meetings (Large group/small group)\nIndividual meetings with Coach Educator\nIndependent learning and investigation/research\nIndividual assignments\nCollaborative projects\n\nASSESSMENT: \nFormative Assessment (course assignments during the course) in the 6 Tasks of a coach. \n\nLeadership and Managing the Performance Environment\nLeading the Player within the Team\nCoaching Games\nCoaching Training Sessions\n\nSummative Assessment (Final projects at the end of the course) in \n\nCoaching Training Sessions\nDesign and coach one (1) activity within the training session\n\nIMPORTANT DATES: \nVIRTUAL Meetings  \n\nIntro Meeting -MONDAY MAY 19th 7pm\nVirtual Meetings scheduled at following times:\n\nMonday’s 7pm and Tuesday’s 8pm \nPLEASE NOTE THAT WEEK 1 HAS A WEDNESDAY MEETING AT 7pm and 8pm with Coach Educator Groups. \nIntro Link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/8472901577 \nFIRST In-Person (IP) Meeting: \n\nSaturday-Sunday\, June 29th and June 30th 2024\nTime: 8:00am – 3:00pm (FIELD SESSIONS TIMES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE)\nLocation: Illinois Youth Soccer Office\, 1655 S.
