DESCRIPTION:Click Here To Apply \n** PLEASE NOTE – ALL STUDENT COACHES NEED TO JOIN THE WAITLIST ** \n** PLEASE NOTE – ALL STUDENT COACHES MUST FILL OUT THE GOOGLE FORM ** \n** STUDENT COACHES WILL THEN RECEIVE AN INVITATION TO REGISTER FOR THE COURSE ** \n** PLEASE NOTE ALL VIRTUAL COURSE MEETINGS WILL BE AT 2 PM (CST) ** \n** PLEASE NOTE THAT COURSE FEES DO NOT INCLUDE HOUSING AND FOOD FOR IN-PERSON REQUIREMENTS – PLEASE SEE LINK FOR HOTEL ROOMS** \nEligibility Requirements \nTo be considered for the U.S. Soccer B Course\, all applicants must meet ALL of the following prerequisites: \n\nAt least 18 years of age\nHave held a U.S. Soccer C License for at least 12 months or meet the waiver requirements\nHave 3 or more years of coaching experience (any level)\nCurrently coaching a team training at least three (3) times a week\nCurrently working in an appropriate soccer environment for the course content -OR- have the opportunity to work with a team of the appropriate level for the course content to complete the assignments (internship\, etc.)\n\nCourse Experience \n120+ hours (virtual + in-person meetings) \nCoaches who register for this course can expect weekly learning opportunities featuring a mixture of independent learning using online modules\, live virtual meetings\, and two (2) 4-day in-person meetings led by licensed U.S. Soccer Educators. \nCoaches will be asked to participate in discussions\, so each person should have access to the internet and a laptop/device with web-camera/live video capabilities. \nThe virtual meetings will take place on agreed-upon days and times. Coaches may be asked to participate in the in-person field component as coaches or players\, so please come prepared to learn actively. \nCourse Duration \nSix (6) Months (Including summative assessment) with eight (8) in-person days across two (2) separate in-person meetings. \nCourse Assessment \nFormative Assessment (course assignments during the course) in \n\nLeadership and Managing the Performance Environment\nLeading the player within the team\nCoaching Games\nCoaching Training Sessions\n\nSummative Assessment (final projects at the end of the course) in \n\nCoaching Games\nTeam Performance Analysis Report\nCoaching Training Sessions\nDesigning three (3) training session plans (within one week)\nCoaching one (1) training session (video)\n\nCourse Outcome \nStudent coaches will receive the U.S. Soccer B Diploma and a 3-year License upon successful completion of course assessment. \nCourse Policies \n\nCoaches that register for this course are expected to attend all course meetings and complete all assignments by due dates to be eligible to receive the license\nCoaches must have access to a team (U13+) in a performance environment for the duration of the course\n\nCourse Structure \nSchedule \nThe final virtual meeting dates and times will be announced at least two (2) weeks before the course starts. Riverside Blvd\, Loves Park\, IL 61111    \nCourse fee \n$2350 \nIllinois Youth Soccer B-License Course Refund Policy \n\nThe registration fee must be paid in full at the time of registration which closes on JULY 2nd 2024.\nCancellations more than 14 days before the start of the course may be refunded in full. Cancellations made within 14 days of the beginning of the course will be refunded in full\, minus a $200 processing fee.\nStudent coaches who withdraw for documented medical reasons will get a full refund.\nOnce the B-License Course has begun and through week 1\, we will continue to offer a transfer to a future Illinois Youth Soccer Association B-License course in the same year.\nAfter week 1 of the B-License course – No refunds or transfers are available.\nWhen registering for this course\, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to the course policies regarding course assignments\, a minimum number of participants\, registration fees\, and refunds.\nA medical or compassionate withdrawal request may be made in extraordinary cases in which severe illness or injury (medical) or another significant personal situation (compassionate) prevents a student from continuing their classes\, and incomplete or other arrangements with the educators are impossible. ILLINOIS YOUTH SOCCER will review these cases on an individual basis.\nAny progress a student coach achieves in a course is considered lost at withdrawal time.
