The Illinois State Premiership is ready to kick-off its Spring 2024 season with Spring 2023 Champions looking to repeat, with newcomers ready to make a name for themselves and with returning teams looking to usurp the crown. This competition is designed to give elite level teams the opportunity to compete against other top teams in the state, in a high-level in-state competition.

2nd Place Bloomingdale Lightning FC came four points shy from the title in the fall, they return with only one goal in mind. Northwind SC, FC Stars and Pegasus FC will have something to say however, as they too return to the division from the fall. Familiar opponents will stand in each other’s way and facing each other twice again this season will make for unmissable encounters. Joining the lot, is Chicago Empire FC and they come with experience having players who participated in the State Cup and E64 last season. FCX completes the group, putting a great emphasis on the high-level of competition this division will surely bring.
15U Girls Preview
15U will see five teams in the division, four out of the five will be returning. North Shore FC will be the newcomer to the division and while we welcome them with arms wide open, they cannot expect the opponents to be so friendly! Competition will be fierce as Rockford Raptors and FC Stars come back from the fall season. Placing 3rd and 4th place respectively, the two will feel there was some unfinished business. 2nd place in the Spring 2023 season, Chicago Rush North Shore, will make their return and with stars in their eyes, they will have their aim on improving one more place. Wizards FC finalize the group, they finished 3rd in the Spring 2023 season however, confidence will surely be on their side as they were able to get an away victory against Chicago Rush North Shore in their last matchup.
13U Boys Preview
BVB IA Mustangs returns after a 3rd place finish where they recorded only two defeats against the eventual 1st and 2nd place teams, vengeance will be on their mind as surely they will feel confident they will be competing for the ultimate prize. Not far behind from the fall are another few returning teams in Ponys FC, Evolution SC and Nido Aguila. Familiar foes will gear up to compete with new faces that come with some pedigree. Young Wolves joins the Illinois Premiership after a successful Fall Season with YSSL Division 1, ending with an undefeated record and a Championship that came with it. North Shore FC, BVB IA Yellow and Wheaton United will surely be coming in the division with something to prove as they all shared the division with Young Wolves, just a season ago. Highly competitive clubs: Midwest United FC, Firebirds SC and Chivas Rojiblanco round up the division where not a point is guaranteed.
14U Boys Preview
Thunder 48 SC, Lockport SC, Berwyn Blazers, American Futsal Academy and Bloomingdale Lightning FC make up the 14U Boys division. With Midwest Conference, State Cup and YSSL Division 1 experience, Berwyn Blazers are no strangers to high-level competition. Spring 2023 Premiership, 2nd place Lockport SC saw an understandable dip in the Fall 2023 season where the 14U and 15U divisions were combined due to the High School age conflict. A losing record is a foreign thing to them in the Premiership however, and they will be eager to reach the summit this season. The Fall YSSL Division 1 Champions join the division; American Futsal Academy have tasted success, and it may be an acquired taste! Another previous Champion of the YSSL Division in Thunder 48 SC, but Spring 2023, will be an acquisition to the Premiership division, adding yet another team with championship pedigree. A very exciting and competitive returning side, Bloomingdale Lightning FC complete what will be a tight division. 14U division will see every team face off twice, where every squad will have the chance to get a home field advantage.
15U Boys Preview
In a stacked 15U division, there will be a Premiership 1 and a Premiership 2 division dividing the group. Berwyn Blazers FC will enter the Premiership 1 stage having won the division last spring in with chins held high, as they finished with an undefeated record and only three goals scored against. 3rd place finishers, Lockport SC and returning team, Trebol FC will be no small adversary and will be returning to challenge for the title. Chicago Fire Youth SC and Chicago Rush Oswego join with high-level Presidents Cup experience! Experience has shown to be successful, and Midwest Conference team, FC-1 will make an appearance in the Premiership 1 as well. Bloomingdale Lightning FC and Pegasus finalize the group, emphasizing the intrigue of the experienced division.
Premiership 2 will be made up of big-name clubs fighting for more than just a title, as bragging rights will be more than deserved. Undefeated in YSSL Division 1 in the Spring, Aurora Juventud will come in with confidence on their side. Palatine Celtic SC has momentum on their side however, as they finished Champions in YSSL Division 2 in the Spring and 2nd place in YSSL Division 1 in the Fall. Elgin Pumas, Heart of the City, Midwest FC, Rockford Raptors, Campton United SC, Chicago Rush Oswego 2, and FC United complete the Premiership 2 and they will only add to the excitement as these clubs are all accustomed to finding success and winning trophies.
16U Boys Preview
14 teams have been accepted to the 16U State Premiership where the teams will be separated by a Premiership 1 and Premiership 2 division as well. Reigning Champions, Firebirds SC are the first name on the list and rightfully so, undefeated with only six goals against last spring, a repeat will be the only thing they will expect of themselves. West Lawn SC returns however, and a memory of finishing 2nd will surely bring hunger to the side – a matchup to watch! FC United and Lockport SC would not have taken their 3rd and 4th respective places lightly last time around, a team with vengeance has a certain fight in them. Illinois Presidents Cup Champions, Midwest Presidents Cup Champions and National Presidents Cup Finalists, Carol Stream Panthers come into the fold in commanding fashion, looking like serial winners. Do not sleep on Elgin Pumas Gold as this squad finished 2nd place in the MWC Qualifying division! Last but certainly not least, Strikers FV joins Premiership 1, a well-known club looking to make an immediate impact in the division.
Premiership 2 will find a tough group of teams in the mix. Rockford Raptors will be ready to showcase its Premiership experience that it brings with them from the spring. Elgin Pumas Blue is made up of the players that earned 2nd place in the 14U/15U Premiership in the Spring and won’t be foreign to this competition. Joining the group will be Lake FC, Evolution SC, Chicago Rush Oswego, North Shore and FV Bayern. With an exciting group in both Premiership 1 and Premiership 2, there will be a friendly played within divisions giving these sides a taste of what they are fighting to attain next year.
17U Boys Preview
Three divisions make up the 17U group! Premiership 1 and two Premiership 2 divisions will separate the group of 24 teams. With three divisions in the Spring 2023 season as well, there are a lot of movements. In the Premiership 1 division, FC United and Pegasus SC will see familiar faces as they both return to the top division. Champions of the Premiership 2 Blue division, Aurora Juventud, gains a promotion into the Premiership 1 this time around. They won the division handsomely, seeing a goose egg in the loss column. SC Miners South joins Aurora Juventud as they climb into the top division. They return after losing the Premiership 2 Blue division to Aurora Juventud by one point, where their one loss came to the Champions. Synergy SC knows the previous two teams well as it too, will be coming up from said division. 3rd place from the Premiership 2 White division, North Shore FC gains promotion after an impressive showing where they finished with six wins in eight games. Finally, Bolingbrook SC and Lockport SC round out the competitive grouping and are there for a reason. An exciting group full of mouthwatering matchups will be highly anticipated.
Kankakee County SA, Naz United and Firebirds SC are three returning teams grouped within the State Premiership 2 White. Chicagoland United, a MWC team, will add great competition to the group. Nido Aguila, Chicago Rush Oswego, Kora FC and JaHbat will be newcomers to the division. Premiership 2 Blue has Heart of The City looking to reclaim their crown, as they look to defend it after winning with Premiership 2 White division last season. Chicago Fire Youth SC joins the 2007 age group, with a team now finishing top of the table in YSSL Division 1, two years running. Fury FC Chicagoland has had similar success, finishing 2nd place in the Illinois Cup and YSSL Division 1, they are one step away. FC Lakeshore, SC Miners North, Chicago Rush North, Strikers FV and FC United round out the Premiership 2 Blue division, ready to make a name for themselves.

18U Boys Preview
The 18U division will entail two divisions, Premiership 1 and Premiership 2 with each having 5 teams. A home and away schedule for this age group, every team will see each other twice on the pitch. Carol Stream Panthers and Arlington Aces will be the only two returning to the top division. With both ending in the bottom half last go around, an eagerness to showcase why they deserve to be back fighting for the top spot will surely be two to keep an eye on. MWC and Presidents Cup participants, Lyons Township, joins the fold accustomed to the stakes and competition. JaHbat, the 2023 State Cup Champions, join the top flight with a hot hand and a taste of great success, they will feel confident they can have that transfer to the Premiership 1. Chicago Fire Youth SC complete the group, a club that trophies seem to follow them wherever they go.
State Premiership 2 returning team, FCX will look to improve on last year’s showing, knowing the division well, a Championship is their only desire. New faces will be in the horizon as Lake FC, FC-1, DKCU and Palatine Celtic will join FCX. With experience in the MWC Qualifiers and Presidents Cup last season, this group of newcomers have embraced high competition and will make for an unpredictable end to how the standings will look.
19U Boys Preview
An exciting 19 teams are in the age group that will also, be divided into a Premiership 1 and 2 division. Highly competitive divisions are an understatement and both will be nothing short of exhilarating! Elgin Pumas will have to fight through what could be high expectations, as they look to defend their 1st place prize. Having an undefeated season with 37 goals in 10 games is no easy feat, exceeding expectations will be the number one goal. Last season’s 3rd place, Roadrunners SC, will be a worthy adversary having tied Elgin Pumas last year in their confrontation. As mentioned, the competition will be high throughout as PSG Chicago will be added to the dog fight, having dominated Premiership 2 last fall, won the Presidents Cup and made it to National Presidents Cup. PSG Chicago know a thing or two about winning. After a year plagued with injuries, Shadow Premier FC will hope to stay healthy and will return to the division with something to prove. A side with MWC pedigree and made up of younger players that won the U17 division last year, Mundelein SC know what it feels like to be Champions of a Premiership. Do not connect age with experience with this side, as Mundelein SC has plenty experience to garner respect. Chicago Eagles, Lockport SC, Chicago Rush Oswego and Evolution SC top off the group. We were not joking when we said, “nothing short of exhilarating”!
Premiership 2 teams will match the excitement! Kankakee County SA, Chicago Rush West, FC United and Rockford Raptors all return to the division. They know each other well, the question is who will be able to take advantage of that fact? New to the division, Berber City, Lake FC, FC Lakeshore, Power FC, Strikers FV and CSA Barca will bring a fun mix to the division. With new teams and returning teams, the fight for the top will surely be unpredictable. Furthermore, a favorite cannot be chosen, and it is advised to stay tuned!
