The Illinois Olympic Development Program or ODP is the first step in the identification process for the National and Olympic Teams. The Illinois Youth Soccer Association conducts the program for US Soccer under the jurisdiction of the US Olympic Committee. The purpose of this prestigious program is to identify players on the basis of open tryouts and develop them to represent their state, region, and the United States in soccer competition.
State Teams
In the ODP process, players are selected for the Illinois State Team. These players go on to represent Illinois at Regional and National events. This is a prestigious accomplishment. Congratulations to all the players!
ODP Off the Pitch series
Illinois Olympic Development Program not only focuses on player development on the field but also emphasizes player development off of it. Our “Off the Pitch” development series includes a series of webinars and resources for players to grow off the field. We bring in experts in the fields of mental health, nutrition, individual player development and college preparation.

About: Each State Association holds ODP events and training sessions on an annual basis. State Team players are then selected to a Regional Team where they compete with other regions to be selected for the ODP National Select Team.
