2025 Midwest Regional Championships

23 Illinois teams from 14 different clubs will be competing in the US Youth Soccer Midwest Regional Championships that kicks-off on Friday, June 20 in Overland Park, KS. Each of these teams have EARNED their spot into the Regional event thru either the Illinois State Cup, US Youth Soccer Midwest Conference or US Youth Soccer Elite 64. The Regional event is the next step towards the ultimate prize in youth soccer, the US Youth Soccer National Championships.

In 2024, Illinois won four Midwest Regional titles and two US Youth Soccer National Championships. Ponys FC are back to defend both their Regional and National title in the 2010 age group and last year’s National Finalists, Bloomingdale Lightning are back looking to repeat as Midwest Champs and get back to the National Championship match in July.

FC United leads the way with four teams representing the club while Galaxy SC sends three teams and Bloomingdale Lightning, Central Illinois United, Ponys FC & Wheaton United each having two squads competing.

Beginning in 25/26, the winner of the Illinois State Cup earns a bid directly into the US Youth Soccer National Championships. Registration for 15U-19U Girls State Cup is now open until July 14.
