Chicago City SC Earns Premier Club Status

“Earning this recognition was important because it validates the standards we hold ourselves to as a club. We’ve always believed in doing things the right way, prioritizing player development, coach education, safety, and community engagement. This accreditation isn’t just a badge; it’s a reflection of the culture we’ve built and the experience we promise to every family that joins Chicago City SC.”
– Nick Mulvaney, Chicago City CEO/Founder

Chicago City SC is the second program to receive the Illinois Youth Soccer Premier Club Accreditation, an honor that recognizes clubs excelling in key areas of youth sports. This recognition highlights their commitment to more than just wins and losses, but rather the importance of overall quality and the player experience.

“We’re proud to accept this award from Illinois Youth Soccer, a reflection of our incredible members, dedicated community, and shared love for the game,” said Nick Mulvaney, Chicago City Founder / CEO. “Being recognized speaks to the environment we’re building together: safe, supportive, and ambitious. Thank you to Illinois Youth Soccer for this honor. We remain committed to raising the standard for youth soccer in Chicago.”

To earn Premier Club status, a club must earn five badges by meeting specific criteria in five pillars of youth sports:  Coaching Education, Parent Engagement, Player Development, Safeguarding & Participation.

“Kudos to Chicago City for obtaining this status as a Premier Club with Illinois Youth Soccer,” Adam Howarth, Illinois Youth Soccer Director of Coaching said. “The accreditation reflects Chicago City’s ongoing commitment to continuous improvement and creating a positive impact for the members and shareholders of Chicago City Soccer Club. Congrats to Nick Mulvaney on continuing to push the club to create better environments for all the club’s players.”

“Earning this recognition was important because it validates the standards we hold ourselves to as a club,” said Mulvaney. “We’ve always believed in doing things the right way, prioritizing player development, coach education, safety, and community engagement. This accreditation isn’t just a badge; it’s a reflection of the culture we’ve built and the experience we promise to every family that joins Chicago City SC.”

Chicago City joins Northwind SC as the only organizations to earn Premier Club status. Twenty-one other clubs have started their path to the accreditation, by earning at least one badge.  You can find complete details about the Premier Club program.
