SPD – FAQ
The State Premiership Division is open to premier teams registered through an Illinois Youth Soccer Member Competitive League. All players and coaches must be properly registered with Illinois Youth Soccer through their member league before participating.
Teams must compete through an Illinois Youth Soccer Member Competitive League. Member leagues include IWSL, YSSL, SLYSA -ILLINOIS, CIYSL, ILLOWA. Eligibility is determined through league affiliation and compliance with Illinois Youth Soccer registration requirements.
Participation is based on the State Premiership application process and league approval. The Illinois Youth Soccer State Premiership Committee reviews applications and determines placement based on established competition guidelines.
Registration fees are established each seasonal year and are published during the registration period. Currently the registration is $250 per season plus the league registration fee (Approximately $500-$600). Visit the Registration Information page for current fees, deadlines, and payment details.
The number of matches varies by division and the number of participating teams. There are usually between 6-10 games each season. Schedules are finalized after registration closes and divisions have been formed.
Divisions are created based on the number of accepted teams and the overall competition structure. Illinois Youth Soccer strives to provide balanced, competitive divisions that offer meaningful matches throughout the season.
Teams are responsible for working with their opponents to schedule matches by the published deadlines. Failure to schedule or complete matches may result in forfeits or fines as outlined in the competition rules.
All players and coaches must appear on an approved Illinois Youth Soccer roster and present valid player or coach passes before each match. Guest players from other clubs are not permitted, and each match roster may include a maximum of 22 players.
