The Illinois Youth Soccer Coaching Education badges signifies that a club has emphasized the importance of educating their coaches for situations both on and off the field.

Among the criteria to earn the Coaching Education badge are
- ALL 9U-12U coaches in the club have earned their Grassroots Competitive Club License
- Having a certain number of USSF D & USSF C Licensed coaches on staff
- Every coach in the club has taken a US Soccer Coaching Course Since 2017
- A Technical Leader from the club has complete or be enrolled in the USSF Club Technical Leadership Level 1 License
- Have female coaches on staff or an action play to recruit and develop female coaches
